Automobile racing is a popular international sport on both amateur and professional levels and involves a wide variety of cars, tracks, and courses. The Indianapolis 500, which is one of the most prestigious racing events in the United States, is a race of 200 laps that's currently sanctioned by the Championship Auto Racing Teams (CART).
